out at 8:30 this morning to try and beat the heat. after an hour of trying to cage my tomatoes and run away cucumbers, my underwear was even sopping wet. turned on the sprinkler to water the disturbed plants and then forgot about them. when i left the house at 6:30 this evening the garden was still happily being watered.  cost of raising our own veggies just tripled. nice.

ozone action day

105 degrees with the heat index. literally sweating my ass off.  mowing the yards for the party tomorrow.  i was completely drenched.  mowing over the giant mole mounds of dirt which swirls up into the air and then blows back just to purposely stick to my wet skin. i look chocolate. nice.  when i came into get some water, skip reminded me it was a ozone action day and i shouldnt be mowing....as he is sitting in the air, checking his facebook.
